About Anthony Ryan

I am currently the Environmental Biology Lead for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.Since 2013, I have been recognized as a Authorized Biological Consultant for Riverside County and own the consulting firm BIOCON2 - Specializing in T&E species on large renewable energy initiatives and commercial/residential land development projects within the Coachella Valley. I previously held a research position with NEON Inc. as a Field Operations Manager and primary permit holder supervising 10 scientist's in terrestrial/aquatic/meteorological protocol driven sampling for an unprecedented spatial and temporal transcontinental ecological investigation. I have > 20 years in commercial construction materials/personnel and project management. I held leadership positions with state/federal agencies and nonprofits, led labs, and field studies.I conducted the 2010 Maine River Otter Latrine Survey for the Maine Department of Inland Fish & Wildlife. (wrote thesis on same.) documented the presence of otter communities along the coast of Maine to better measure the effects of catastrophic oil spills on a sentinel species.I modernized a MDIF&W wood duck nesting box program, & a wood duck banding project, worked the moose check station and done CWD workshops, I also assisted the spring trapping crew on the black bear monitoring program for MDIF&W and developed BioGeoChemistry soil sampling techniques for Unity farms.I have more recently worked in CA and Nevada as a consulting biologist with/for the USGS, CDF&W, ACE, CVAG, USFS/USFWS & DNR, NDOW, Univ. of Idaho, The Great Basin Institute, JWC Ecological consultants & Alluvion Consulting Inc., CalTrans, Davey Tree, Meridian, Pulte, JWC ecological consultants & for (WEST), H.T. Harvey, The Vernadero group, Alluvion, TRC Companies among others. I am a Badged Contractor for FEMA, Specializing in Disaster Ecology Restoration.
