Engineering Technical Manager of a team of 20 - 40 Engineer's and Technicians. Special Test Equipment Lead and Subject Matter Expert for new business proposals, design and development of automated test systems used for the test and verification of spacecraft payloads and subsystems. Development of test systems for use in payload environmental verification (TVAC and EMI).

Responsible for the direction, coordination and execution of a dedicated team of engineering professionals specializing in the development and testing of RF systems. I also lead the development, integration & test of special test equipment for the automated testing of RF payloads and high speed cryptographic space networking data systems. I lead the implementation of a common STE system architecture that resulted in a significant cost and schedule savings when it was implemented across multiple payloads. I also authored a STE development handbook of best practices which captured many of our best time and cost savings measures which have been widely implemented across our Space Communication and Payload Systems groups. Software Task Lead, Special Test Equipment (STE) projects. I lead a team of software engineers developing & releasing STE application software in a controlled environment. Developed new & updated existing C++ software and test scripts used for the automated control and verification of production RF subsystems for space applications. I lead the creation & update of industrial test stations using Workstations, RHEL Linux OS, NI VXI hardware interfaces for automated testing, control and test report generation. Utilized SQL to generate engineering test reports from test data stored in Postgres & Oracle databases. Wrote, verified & unit tested: test scripts & test equipment drivers for our C++ CMMI Level 3 test environment. Special Test Equipment (STE) Architect - led the development of new STE systems, baseline of a new Linux test platforms. Specified components and performed integration & benchmark testing to establish a new baseline host computer system. Wrote shell scripts for data archival and system maintenance.

Responsible for writing and maintaining Ground Software used for satellite ground testing using LabView software. Applications included thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing of complete satellites and sub-systems, clean room monitoring and spacecraft battery testing. Utilized LabView graphical programming language to construct state machines used in the communications & control of industrial TVAC systems. Made updates to existing industrial control software to add new functionality.

Electrical Design Lead for the NASA Glenn Stirling engine research laboratory electrical power system test bed. Designed and developed a system test platform for the support of in house electrical power system integrated performance testing of Stirling cycle engines. Created control system and electrical power distribution system architectures for simulation of spacecraft electrical bus subsystems with real and simulated hardware. Responsible for the system test bed remote power controller (RPC) embedded controller hardware / software designs with analog, digital and data telemetry systems. Wrote the control software and user interface using the C programming language and NI LabWindows/CVI.
