I was responsible for all product sales literature, packaging, manuals, point-of-sale displays and product promotions. One of our products was called "The Little Oskar" Food Processor. It was the first time a small everyday Food Processor was to be introduced to the American marketplace. I worked with our in-house food economist to develop a program to use in-store food demonstrators, to show not only ease of use, but also compactness and speed of food preparation with our “Little Oskar” Food Processor. To reinforce our in-store thrust, I created a an in-store display, that asked the consumer "Why Don't You Own A Food Processor?” The displays' turning mechanism showed some key negative reasons as to why most consumers chose not to own a food processor. We then answered those negatives with positive reasons for why they should own this everyday Food Processor. To reinforce this message, a television commercial was developed that echoed these key benefits of owning this everyday Food Processor.The campaign was so successful the entire inventory was sold and over 1,000,000 products were back ordered. Harvard did a case study of this product success story, calling it the "Cabbage Patch Kids" of the appliance industry.• Created a cross promotion with Duncan Hines and our Express toaster oven. I sold 10,000 toaster ovens to Duncan Hines that totaled $1,100,000 in sales to our company. The ovens were used as giveaways in a consumer contest at the grocery store channel of distribution.
