As Commanding Officer, I provided direction, oversight, and management for a diverse unit of 96 military, civilian, and contractors, including IM experts, first line support, second line support, and IT projects to provide IM/IT support to military units throughout Ontario - from Windsor to Timmins. I developed and presented plans, courses of action, and outcomes to technical and non-technical senior officers and executives.- I oversaw and ensured the successful completion of projects, managed staffing, and human resources issues, and was directly responsible for budgets and resource allocation including $10 million in salary, $1 million in operations and maintenance, and $11 million in yearly IT project funding.- My responsibilities included managing and executing IT support for 17,000+ clients and managing DND’s IT business plans for the 12,000 computers and 4,000 mobile devices deployed across Ontario.- To allow for Command and Control during the COVID-19 pandemic, I led the planning and implementation of a 25% expansion in DND IT equipment.- Additionally, I supported and expanded the instances of IT systems of varying security designations (DWAN, CSNI, LCSS).- Other projects conducted during my tenure included: Expansion of the Welfare network into the field, allowing troops the ability to contact home when on exercise Design of the future server building Institutional cabling both within CFB Petawawa, and the Reserve Armouries across the province of Ontario Upgraded helpdesk software to the Assist System
