I am a PhD student in Theoretical Chemistry at Yale University. I develop machine learning methods for quantum computers, and apply them to chemical systems. I have developed a quantum convolutional neural network that possesses state-of-the-art performance on the CIFAR-10 dataset. Most recently, I have developed a hybrid quantum-classical neural network that achieves quadratic complexity on matrix multiplication and whose weights may be transferred to a classical device for noise-free fine tuning.I am the co-founder and Vice President of Yale's first biophysical society chapter, and have additionally won a Biophysics training grant from the National Institute of Health, as well as the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship award.I received my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Chemistry from Binghamton University, and conducted computational chemistry research using Density Functional Theory. During my time at Corning Community College, I served as the treasurer on the Executive Board where I drafted and passed the 2019-2020 fiscal budget. The cutting-edge of science is important to me, and thus I am always willing to learn new skills to be at the forefront of scientific innovation.
