I have held senior engineering and operational management roles for Wesfarmers Ltd in its LP Gas and LNG businesses and for Energy Developments Ltd as General Manager LNG/CNG Business Development. I have had extensive experience in the Australian and overseas gas industry and roles that have included responsibility for the commercial and technical viability of LP Gas, LNG and CNG operations. I have had 19 years’ experience in the LP Gas Industry. I was significantly involved in the early introduction of LNG as an alternative fuel to diesel for heavy-duty vehicles and power generation in Australia. I am now focusing on the development and installation of Hydrogen storage and handling facilities as the next generational step towards “a cleaner world”. As project Delivery Manager for ENGV I completed the installation and commissioning of the Denham (WA) Hydrogen Demonstration Plant for Horizon Power.As the Director of Liquegas Consulting, I managed the approvals, procurement and construction of a 50 tonne per day Air Separation Plant for Supagas Pty Ltd in Karratha WA. I have been engaged in the preliminary design and Hazop studies for LNG truck loading facilities for both AGL and Woodside Petroleum. I have also been engaged by Brookfield’s Enwave Australia CNG operations for the independent design validation and inspection of the CNG supply and towns gas distribution network for Regional Development Victoria’s Energy for Regions initiative.Whilst on contract with the WA Government Statutory Safety Regulator, DMIRS, Building and Energy (formally EnergySafety), I conducted risk assessments and investigations to ascertain compliance to National Technical Gas Standards and WA Consumer Gas Installation Regulations. I developed a sound working relationship with Gas Technical Regulators from interstate jurisdictions whilst representing Building and Energy on the National Gas Technical Regulators committee (GTRC) and as a member on two Australian Standards technical committees. I am also a WorkSafe recognised competent person for pressure vessel inspections to statutory requirements.I am an innovative and motivated manager who has identified profitable growth and business development opportunities for my previous employers, and as Director of Liquegas Consulting. I am persistent in achieving goals and I have led and motivated large and small teams of “white collar” and “blue collar” workers to perform. I have a commercial focus supported by a strong engineering background.
