Responsible for the management and development of our legal talent in Africa. Report to the General Counsel and a member of the Global Legal Leadership Team. In addition I lead advice to our Corporate Relations function, principally on matters relating to Alcohol in Society - i.e. our position on alcohol and health and our relationship with governments, regulators and policy makers.

I advise on issues of higher risk and complexity across Diageo's developing markets, with a particular focus on Africa - a mixture of commercial issues, M&A, joint ventures, litigation, anti-bribery and fraud. Lead advice to Diageo's "Futures Group" - exploring cutting edge innovation, technology and ways to sell our brands. Support global Corporate Relations team on comms, sustainability and Diageo's positioning in respect of Alcohol's role in society. Also oversee Diageo's knowledge management and capability building agenda.
