Shift Supervisor: Under the general direction of the Assistant Manager, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for performing technical and supervisory functions in the Amarillo Emergency Communications Center (AECC). The incumbent will be responsible for making decisions with direct oversight from the Assistant Manager in regard to daily operations such as planning, coordinating, scheduling, assigning, and evaluating the work of emergency communications personnel. This person maintains department records and responds to inquiries and complaints with approval from the Assistant Manager. • supervises emergency communications personnel by directing and monitoring activities to ensure prompt and appropriate responses to requests for emergency assistance in compliance with policies and procedures. • Arranges work schedules and assignments. • Inspects work in progress and upon completion. • Trains employees on new or changed methods, policies, and procedures. • Effectively recommends personnel actions such as discipline and performance evaluations. • Assists with the development of budgetary recommendations and administrations. • Identifies system and equipment operations deficiencies and recommends potential solutions. • Maintains personnel and computer system records. • Develops and is responsible for compliance with departmental policies and procedures. • Resolves citizen and client agency complaints as assigned and provides training to client agencies when necessary.

Service Supervisor I: I assist in coordinating cementing service line work at the well site, and help to provide quality customer service. I provide the planning necessary for the job including giving instructions to the crew and maintaining equipment used. Complete all proper documentation needed for the customer, state, and employer including job ticket, HSE, HMDS, etc. I do my best to ensure customer satisfaction with all the work I perform. I also coordinate and direct the activities of service operators, and coordinate the cleanup, repair and preparation of equipment for the next job. Assist in the training of new hands as well as preparing supervisors in training. Meet with company representatives on the job procedures and job plans required for work to be done. Coordinate with representatives on materials and equipment needed to be ordered or offered for future services. Help to sell company services to future customers by providing a meet and greet basis.

Drove and transported emergency personnel to emergency incidents. It was my responsibility for the safe arrival of officer and firefighters to incident scenes. Provided support, equipment, and water supply as needed. Conducted firefighter duties, included are fire suppression, life safety, ventilation, salvage and overhaul, confined space, haz-mat incidents and high angle rescue as well as other basic firefighter duties. Provided emergency medical care and assisted EMS in medical calls to the city and surrounding areas. Included are car wrecks, medical assists, industrial accidents and all other BLS care. Acting Lieutenant: In charge of personnel during day to day activities as well as leading and managing personnel in emergency incidents. Helped conduct and teach classes with surrounding agencies for training and mutual aid support. Put together various safety classes and taught subjects in classroom and hands-on settings. Dealt with the public and other entities in public relations on a one to one basis, in ordinary day to day and emergency situations. Provided necessary incident reports and paperwork in writing and typed forms. Also worked on computer entering safety reports, incidents, and other information sent to the state and local depts. whenever needed. Taught and lectured to groups in classroom and seminar settings on various types of subjects. Trained new hire employees on job duties and public relations. Have experience as a dispatcher, answering multi phone-lines and conducting radio traffic in emergency situations and day to day activities. I also multi-tasked with multiple-entities at one time working in stressful situations to assist or aid those in need.
