The automotive industry can be worthwhile and frustrating all at the same time. It is also not for everyone, but I have been able to be successful for 30+ years. I started back 1986 as a parts delivery driver with a small Mercedes-Benz parts house. Eventually working my way up into the shipping and receiving department. Later taking the initiative to move to the new car dealership level as a detailer with Acura. As a parts department opportunity showed itself, I was given the chance to prove myself, which started the ball rolling. Though my years I have worked with many different manufacturers, mostly in the parts department with a few stops in the detail department. I pride myself in being able to work with just about anyone. Easily picking up processes, staying on task until finished, extreme attention to detail, able to work alone or with a team. I have acquired much automotive knowledge, built friendships with coworkers which creates a better work atmosphere. My family outside of work makes everything I do worthwhile. Having a stable home life, raising two teenage kids and spending quality time with them will always be priority number one. So being successful to me is not always measured in the monetary sense. Having a good, fun, engaging, stress free work life helps to create a great home life.
