Assisted the Registered Manager in all aspects of the operational management of the home, and take responsibility for Management of the Home in the absence of the Manager and work in accordance with the companies philosophy of care and its Policies and Procedures. Contributed towards common goals, ensuring the highest standards of support and care were provided for the residents, that detailed Care Packages are in place and an effective service was delivered and that service provision was delivered in accordance with requirements and regulations. Assisted the Manager in designated budget management, management of staff, management of residents, management of the home, working allocated shifts, which include sleep-in duties, ensuring that the group is alerted to events / incidents at a time appropriate to their severity in the absence of the Manager, pursue own professional development and training, keep abreast of current trends and professional development and undertake training as deemed necessary by the company. Monitor and review the performance of the Staff and service area to ensure that performance standards and service agreement requirements are met. Established arrangements and services which make clear and measurable improvements to the quality of life of users and carers. Have an understanding of relevant legislation and ability to work within legal framework and accountability. Understanding of the role of Social Services and Care in the Community and the partnership focus with users and carers. Planning and developing services, costing and negotiating contracts with service providers IT literate; experience in using manual and computer systems for record-keeping.
