Systems – Super user for the systems used to manage the collections contracts. Started with 3 separate systems which are being consolidated into the preferred CORE systemCORE is an integrated systems with On road vehicles via the OBC (On Board Computers) and comprises;- Councils /Residents address / service Data base- Routing sectors to ensure each trucks is allocated work so they are efficient, balanced and optimise profitability- System enhancements to collect real time service information via reporting and API directly linked to Councils ERP systems.Routing – Using map based software (Mapinfo) upload residents address and service data so that routes can be balanced, maps are generated and each truck is optimised for efficiency. Also check that data received agrees with Invoice and Tender model. LGA completed, Penrith, Parramatta, Shoalhaven, Ryde & Canada Bay.Finance and Admin – assist Contract Managers with Flash Profit forecasting during the month to ensure that any adjustments can be made so that EOM profit figures make budget. Major areas are Revenue Recognition, Labour, Operational, Maintenance and Other. In addition model and report any other specific data that may be required to satisfy corporate reporting requirements

Garden Organics (Organic Resource Recovery Facilities (ORRFs)The network of ORRFs enables harness of the resources in green organic waste. ORRF employ’s unique technologies to produce highly specialised blends and organic fertilisers such as soil improvers, organic top dressing, turf underlay, garden soil mixes, potting products, composts and mulches.Activity Based Costing exercise – Established actual costs at each of the 3 processing points. Started with a process flow and then developed a costing model which drilled down on each of the machinery and the costs required at the process point to establish a costing timeline over the 5 mths processing period from Green to compost

SAWT (Advance Resources and Recovery Tech.) Suez Advance Waste Tech.SAWT processed 120,000 tonnes of General Waste from Liverpool and Penrith Councils and FOGO (Food Organics, Garden Organics) from Penrith.Activity Based Costing exercise – Established actual costs at each of the 7 processing points. Started with a process flow and then developed a costing model which drilled down on each of the machinery and the costs required at the process point. To achieve needed a deep understanding of the biological effects on the waste together with the processing methods to treat and separating the residual bi products so the organic material composted in line with EPA and Australian Standards requirement.Leachate Management ProjectEPA Licence required that all water collected or used was to be treated in accordance with requirements.- Defined the catchment area and established capacity requirements for dams given rain events- Establish a plan for the 5 main work areas- Designed the work required with Site manager and in house engineers- Submit CAPEX budget for the work required. - Engaged and managed contractors to complete the work

Business Process Improvement. Standardise and streamline processes for upgrade of ERP system (Currently using JD Edwards) - Project scope covers lead, service contract, routing planning, collection KPI’s and billing for Commercial collection, infrastructure and residential waste recovery.- Sort, order and author an operational/training chapter, joining the most efficient approaches together with detail instructions on how the data is entered and processed by the various IT packages.

Have completed Due Diligence process with a Forward Estimates and Cash Flow Model. Coy has decided to continue with the purchase, therefore I have been engaged for 3 mths fulltime to do Transition Planning and the merging of administration and systems.

Over the last 18 months I have been working with the CEO in re-engineering the business processes. This has covered Lead Generation through to Cash Collection. They have been captured in Flowcharts and Workflows then summarised into reference guides that are easier to be digested by the user.

Handled the Operational, Reporting and Compliance of 23 entities that were incorporated within this listed group. This was during the time of the GFC and cash managements skills were tested as well as keeping fiscal balance between operations while the relative markets trended downwards.

Was the first full time controller after the business was taken over by a listed entity. Company went from SME to needing to comply with all the ASIC & ASX rules. During this time procedures and controls needed to be develop and parent’s requirements were integrated into local operations. It was a time of great change and major focus was on correctly determining the WIP and then implementing a system that covered from Estimation to Completion of each project.
