Counseled 25 "at-risk" students ages five to thirteen from diverse racial backgrounds and gender identities. Implemented Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) behavioral interventions and reinforcement strategies for students experiencing academic and personal/social barriers to learning. Helped facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, taught SEL lessons, and assisted students in the classroom as requested by teachers. Partnered with educators and parents to develop IEP and 504 educational plans to support students with learning differences and disabilities and create a safe learning climate. Led afterschool programming, emphasizing the importance of physical activity and fun.
