Conducts, researches, and analyze comprehensive investigations/inspections throughout the United States and its territories, to determine aviation industry compliance with the drug and alcohol regulations, and eliminate or control potential hazards with the aviation industry. Prepares comprehensive reports on findings and identifies corrective action(s) required to improve compliance with the drug and alcohol regulations and resolve any program violations detected to reduce the frequency, severity and accidents in the aviation industry by addressing questions, concerns, and resolving problems. As an inspection team lead I conduct in-dept investigations/inspections necessitated by alleged or observed violations of 49 CFR part 40 and 14 CFR parts 65, 121 and 135. Frequently confronted with potential and/or actual program violations and is expected to extrapolate among/between existing guidance to resolve/settle issues. Evaluates results of findings and determines corrective action necessary to gain compliance with Federal and DOT/FAA regulations. Prepare reports of these investigations/inspections which may result in administrative, civil penalty, or certificate action.
