CBRE Global Investment Partners (“CBRE GIP”) provides global and regional customized indirect ( indirect funds, secondaries, co-investments and programmatic ventures) real estate investment solutions for clients. In my three plus years with CBRE GIP, I had the opportunity for a diverse yet deep exposure into all components of global real estate investment management with responsibilities in Portfolio Management, Acquisitions, Asset Management and Product Development and Management. I was the Portfolio Analyst on two Global Equity Mandates ($800m and $500m) and an Americas mezzanine debt mandate ($250m) assisting multiple Portfolio Managers in deal sourcing, underwriting, modeling target portfolios, creating and implementing client investment plans, overseeing quarterly and annual performance and reporting, and liaising with clients for ad hoc requests. Furthermore, I assisted in the deployment of approximately $850m in equity in the Americas from souring to completion for CBRE's global mandates. In addition, I was asset managing $1.0 billion in committed capital in the Americas and supported in the formation of Americas investment strategies from tracking real estate and capital market fundamentals to strategy creation, justification and implementation.

I participated in six month transfer program between Americas and Continental European Investment teams in order to globalize my real estate expertise and gain first hand experience in European markets. During the six month transfer I supported in the committment of over €140m throughout Europe from sourcing, analyzing and forming recommendations on investment opportunities as well as asset management on over €600m in committed investments including attending investor meetings, re-forecasting, acquisition / disposition analytics and oversight of fund restructurings. Furthermore, I assisted in the in the formation of the business plan, investor modeling and budget planning on a potential European Secondaries and Co-investment Fund that was launched after my departure.

The Irish Bank Resolution Corporation was the name given to the state-owned banking institutions Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Nationwide Building Society. A real estate analyst position quickly changed to assisting the bank in all aspects in the restructuring and disposition of the US portfolio. Assisting the in oversight of approximately $1 billion of committed capital I was able gain a unique exposure in preparation memorandum on loan documents and financial matters as well as property financial and credit analysis in support of our portion of the US portfolio.
