Senior Technology Project Manager, Senior Consultant – Current Project: Project Manager engaged in the ongoing design, engineering and implementation support for a $350,000,000.00 Tetra-based radio system for NYCT, Department Of Buses. This includes the design and installation support for 35 new base-station facilities, a new Bus Command facility located in East New York and the retrofit of approximately 8,000 buses. Previous project while employed at DVI; Construction Manager with the overall responsibility for the Start to finish deployment of a $1,000,000.00, 10 Gigabit, FO transport infrastructure for the MTA’s headquarters facility located at 2 Broadway, NYC. This facility is a very sensitive location for the MTA and houses Engineering, Support Personnel and Upper Management factions for several MTA divisions including the New York City Transit Authority, Bridges & Tunnel Authority & MTA Police to name a few. The new MMFO infrastructure spans the entire 32 Story facility and features fully redundant riser systems as well as a fault-tolerant IDF – IDF bypass feeds. This facility also contains Primary Data Centers for the MTA organization. Duties and responsibilities include the coordination and validation of the final system design, trades coordination, ongoing engineering support, infrastructure design coordination, scheduling, cost estimating, weekly meeting coordination with upper management including progress documentation/minutes/etc., coordination of as-built document preparation and on-site CM/Implementation Project Management for the myriad of details associated with a project of this nature.

Duties include responsibility for overall engineering design, systems coordination and implementation project management for large Telecommunications projects. I have recently completed PM'ing the implementation of all A/V systems for Canon America's new 750,000 sq.ft. facility located in Melville, Long Island. Duties and responsibilities included validation of all A/V systems and infrastructure design, contract negotiation, trades coordination, staff building and on-site, day-to-day project logistical support.

Functioned as the Deployment Manager engaged in a large ATM/SONET Network Project for NYCT…this network consists of six (6) Central SONET Rings (each ring consists of 6-10 nodes connecting high-traffic NYCT core facilities) supporting 29 ATM Branch Loops (each Branch Loop consists of 3-14 Passenger Stations). The Network will function as a high-reliability transport medium for a variety of voice/data/video/security applications for over 600 Subway Station and critical Central Sites in four boroughs of New York City. My responsibilities included the creation of a Deployment Department from “scratch’ including filling all associated staffing positions, documentation, space procurement/design, tool procurement as well as the myriad of day-to-day operational details that are part and parcel of managing a Field Engineering Group involved in technical operations

Functioned as the Area Operations Manager for the New York City and the surrounding locales. I was responsible for the day-to-day operations and activities of a twelve man technical staff composed of Project Managers, Principal Engineers and Network Engineers. My duties included the myriad of day-to-day operational details that are part and parcel of running a technical operations team as well as managerial and technical leadership for the overall start-to-finish deployments of large, Optical DWDM Networks utilized for critical enterprise data and storage traffic on private, fully managed Optical Networks. Extensive project management experience in managing and directing site surveys, project planning, site engineering, staging, inside and outside fiber optic plant construction, implementation, testing, vendor management, and network/customer acceptance of WAN solutions.

Responsible for the overall engineering design, systems coordination and implementation project management for large relocation projects as well as overall management and supervision of a fifteen man consulting staff. Project experience included several “Fortune 500” companies and other local firms including; J&H Marsh & McLennan, St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital Center, Bankers Trust Co., Disney Studios, Jewish Child Care Association Of America, Cartier, Jeffries & Co., etc..

Functioned as an in-house Technology Project Manager for the 7 World Trade Center Headquarters Project. In this position I was responsible for the overall design, design coordination and implementation project management for several of the technology disciplines including the facility-wide, horizontal/vertical F/O, UTP and Coaxial Distribution System, Data Center & Technology Equipment Room(s) layout and MEP coordination, Turret Trading System Infrastucture, PBX Infrastructure, Market Data Infrastructure and Incoming Services coordination. Duties also included participating in the logistics involved with the phased move-in of over 5,000 staff members.
