Facilitate the DART 4 and 8 hour Light Rail Worker Protection Training course that includes initial and re-qualification training. The training requirements are for Train Operators, Rail Supervisors, Safety Personnel, Rail Fleet Services, Technical Services, Environmental Services DART Police, DART Track, TES, Signals, Passenger Amenities and other individuals requiring access to DART's Light Rail Right of Way. Develops, provides and conducts overall safety and safety specific technical training programs for all aspects of system safety development and safety administration as required by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Risk Management Division and the System Safety Program Plan. Performs safety administrative duties in all divisions as required.

Reviews reports of injuries, property damage, occupational diseases, or public liability to determine causative factors. Inspects and evaluates facilities and tool/equipment for compliance with federal, state, local and agency safety policies and procedures. Evaluates facility operations including new, modified, and existing work practices to insure safe working conditions for employees and the public. Performs inspections and periodic audits to determined facility compliance with DART's Safe Work Practices and Policies. Communicates results and recommendations to management. Prepares and coordinates written reports and procedures drafts as required. Develops and conducts LRWPP Safety Training, and quality assurance programs for assigned facilities. Reviews changes in work methods and processes to ascertain effect on established safety practices. Monitors Federal and State occupational health and safety regulations and recommends programs to ensue agency compliance. Makes recommendations for and assists in the development and implementation of new safety policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Dart (Crof) Central Rail Operating Facility

My primary function as the Assistant Manager was to oversee the effectiveness and proficiency of the DART Light Rail Training and Development (10) week Training Program. Also, perform routine to moderately complex supervisory duties related to the training and recertification of rail operators, supervisors, maintenance, and contract personnel on rail operating rules, procedures and practices.
