About Anthony Warren

I hold a Master's of Social Work and am a Registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW. My passion lies in the academy. I have experiences in teaching, facilitation, lecture creation, and supporting students. As a Two-Spirit, Queer Indigenous academic, my practice is informed multiple lenses including: Decolonization, Indigegogy, Queer Therpy, Anti-Racism, AOP, and many others.I am a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier's MSW in the Indigenous Field of Study program at Wilfrid Laurier. I am a BSW graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University and a SSW graduate from Sheridan College. I have spent my years in the field supporting peers, advocating for change, sitting on committees, planning events that engage professional development, and delivering Queer-Inclusion workshops. As an Indigenous Social Work Student, I have been invited as a Guest Lecturer for Sheridan nursing students, focusing on Indigenous health. Engaging with Indigenous communities brings meaning to my work, and helps me feel rooted as an Indigenous helper.I have also engaged in academic work as a Research Assistant as well as holding multiple Teaching Assistantships as a 4th year BSW Student and as a Graduate Student.
