I recently graduated with Honors in Computer Engineering and a minor in Electronic Music from UC Santa Cruz. My passion for electronic music and technology has driven me to delve into audio technology, gaining expertise from projects like an FM-Resynthesis Tool and working as an Audio Engineer with UCSC and IATSE. As an undergraduate, I acquired a diverse skill set, excelling in classes covering software and hardware. One notable project was building a Social Distance Detector, where I led the system design which coordinated an Ultrawideband proximity sensing module, mobile Bluetooth connection, and user feedback system. This project taught me a lot about system design, hardware testing, and software testing. I took these skills to the next project I worked on which aligned more with my passion for music and technology. This project was creating an FM-Resynthesis Tool as a Web Application. A fellow team member and I were in charge of handling front-end development using CSS, HTML, Javascript, and libraries like JQuery and Tone.js. This experience reinforced my ability to quickly learn new technologies since I had no prior experience with front-end development. In addition to my academic pursuits, I taught myself music production, honing skills in synthesis, signal flow, and signal processing. This led me to work as an Audio Engineer and Event Tech Support, swiftly advancing to the position of Tech Lead and, eventually, Technical Director at Cowell and Stevenson Colleges. In these roles, I demonstrated proficiency in various technologies, conducted crew training, and oversaw special projects. Following graduation, I joined College Nine & John R. Lewis College as a full-time Reservations and Events Coordinator. Here, I coordinate events, supervise the student tech crew, and execute repairs and upgrades. One of my goals in this position is to revitalize the tech crew. This includes being in charge of hiring new crew members, creating training programs, and developing equipment use guidelines. This position has allowed me to showcase my leadership abilities and develop skills in recruitment and team management.My diverse range of experiences has equipped me with a comprehensive skill set spanning the audio industry, from product development to hands-on experience with consumer products. I am actively seeking new job opportunities in the audio industry where I can contribute my expertise, creativity, and drive for innovation.
