Anthony is a C++/ Unreal Gameplay Programmer with a degree in computing from Portsmouth where he achieved a 2:1. Anthony has completed the Mastered fundamentals boot camp where he created a C++ Unreal Engine project. During this he found an interest in AI Programming as it was a integral part of his project. He finds the workings behind the character actions to be interesting to create and work with. Even when a character would stay still or go and do something unexpected, he saw it as a opportunity to understand why and face the challenge of fixing it. Anthony has expanded his skills with Unreal via a Mastered Bootcamp, which is a 16-week intensive course. This expanded his skills through creation of a portfolio project and guidance from mentors as well as creator challenges which are one day challenges to interpret and work from a brief to emulate a Game Jam. Anthony has learned a lot during this time and ran into many bugs which have taught him that much more. He also strived to implement good coding practices such as Polymorphism, Inheritance, Abstraction and Encapsulation with his project.During university he was interested in simplifying how a user would interact with systems and through this improve the user experience. His dissertation was around the topic of usability and data gathering. While working as a Software Developer in industry, he would handle updates to processes and in-house programmes by working with Python, Unix and SQL.In addition to his interests in technology, Anthony is adaptable and has leadership qualities. This is evident from his years as a scout leader where he would guide and manage a group of younger scouts, taking them out on activities and acting as a role model to them. From his time working in removals, he learnt how to deal with customer queries as well as maintaining professionalism under pressure. This has let him communicate well in teams when an issue is brought up and not let the pressure of a fast response get to him.
