The mission of the Deputy Inspector General for Intelligence (DIG-Intel) is to provide oversight across the full spectrum of programs, policies, procedures and functions of the intelligence community, special access programs, nuclear enterprise and related security issues within the DoD.-Major Duties: Serves as a technical expert for matters related to the DoD intelligence enterprise. Conducts comprehensive and qualitative evaluations of the efficiency and effectiveness of highly complex DoD-wide intelligence programs. As a technical expert, participates in strategic planning, and performs internal and external coordination with senior civilian and military officials. Advises the DIG-Intel and DoD Office of the Inspector General leadership on current issues, initiatives, and congressional budget language affecting DoD intelligence programs.
