In many ways they designed a technical roadmap for rapid transition to what was then the “workplace of the future” – with remote workers and BYO devices, that was vital when most organisations moved to work from home due to COVID-19 in 2020. From a communications perspective Anthony helped to promote the values the games internally and externally to employees, clients and prospects to highlight teamwork and adaptability while generating a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and Servicewomen. He did this through town hall presentations, client events, social posts, case study and the infectious excitement of his team. The success is captures in the case study aboeve. 2) Location Leader Melbourne As the location leader for Melbourne, Anthony was the on-the-ground contact for internal communications, crisis management, executive visits and facilities matters. His ability to create a sense of community was clearly demonstrated when the physical Melbourne office closed and all employees moved to work from home. He ensured the team stayed connected through local meetings, collaboration and various social activities. This was further tested during the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 where all contact was limited to virtual. But this just gave another opportunity to show adaptability: during stage 4 lockdown Anthony lead a Melbourne-based team called “The Maskatorians” in the company’s step challenge wellness initiative - with only 1 hour exercise allowed outside, within 5km of home with masks, a nightly curfew, no sports, gyms or social activities. This demonstrated care for the wellbeing of his colleagues, a willingness to adapt, people leadership and a sense of humour!
