I am an MSgt in the Nevada Air National Guard. I have nine years of experience working with C-130H3 aircraft providing maintenance support for tactical airlift and modular aerial fire fighting systems (MAFFS). I excel at my job because I have a passion for airplanes, making them fly and flying them myself (GA aircraft). My love for aviation has pushed my choices all my life. I have the desire to become a pilot for the military and one day open up my own aviation business. I got to where I am with excellent attention to detail and a drive to have the best-maintained aircraft in the NVANG fleet. My ability to properly schedule and coordinate maintenance on four aircraft and 40 personnel caused a 100 percent mission completion in a deployed location. I have received various awards for my dedication to the NVANG ranging from High Flyer of the Quarter to Maintainer of the Quarter. In addition, while attending Western Governors University, I received two writing awards for spectacular essays. This year I want to use my masters degree and current aviation experience to obtain an aviation management job to gain experience opening my own business. The business would be private charters or a flight school to help others with the same passion for aviation.
