CurrentTrailing 25+ years of service to the County facility, I impacted correctional and safety management improvements, earning multiple promotions from Correction Officer to Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. ●Managed 620 Subordinate Correctional Officers with over 1100 inmates daily. ●Comparatively analyzed statistical data from internal agency sources or the Bureau of Justice for statistical reports, tracked trends, identified and resolved problem areas, and compared practices. ●Oversaw the Monitored Release Bureau, the Transportation and Special Services Bureau, the Court Services Bureau, and the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, supervising 900 offenders on house arrest and 55 staff and the court security operations.●Served as Facility Supervisor at a mental health treatment center with 1,000+ inmates, enforcing safety and sanitation standards amid the COVID-19 pandemic. ●Created and facilitated training courses, including firearms, leadership, threat procedures, hurricane procedures, evacuations, and emergency response, using PowerPoint for 40+ members per session. ●Engaged stakeholders in defining responsibilities, tools, and equipment needed for high-risk transport, then reviewed policies and delegated specific functions during an emergency. ●Coordinated the transportation of inmates across the state of Florida by managing 13 buses and 30 van fleets, providing safety checks, and ensuring a safe and secure ride.●Executive Officer of the Monitored Release Bureau with 900+ offenders across 4 South Florida counties; adopted an electronic filing system, acquired an additional fleet of vehicles with lighting and sirens, and improved offender reporting. ●Managed jail statistics spreadsheets for leadership, providing insight into overtime hours, sick leave, population, shakedowns, searches, contraband found, and major incidents.
