• Responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) implementation and associated projects as a Connect Site (Carson Tahoe Healht) with the University of Utah. • Manages EPIC project budget according to deadlines and within budget for the Carson Tahoe Health System Enterprise. • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver hospital wide system implementation. • Provides direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of EPIC implementation ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitment and goals. • Manage relationship between Carson Tahoe Health and the University of Utah and all things Epic.• Maintains proactive knowledge of systems and applications infrastructure to facilitate development, design, and implementation project phases. • Advises, troubleshoots, and makes recommendations with management and project teams on technical problems, need for equipment, and priorities. • Acts as a liaison for Carson Tahoe Health System with hospital departments, physician offices, vendors, and third party contacts. • Evaluates data related to processes and workflow in an effort to identify areas of opportunity within the CTHS Enterprise.

• Implemented electronic signature pads throughout all of the hospital outpatient departments to be utilized and incorporated with Renown’s EMR (Epic) system. This project was done in three phases due to the complexity of the various areas. Managed a team of analyst, managers, & a developer to ensure that the project was implemented in a timely and accurate fashion.• Implemented the Patient Payment Estimator tool that allows for all of the Admitting/ER/Hospital Outpatient areas to accurately give estimates to patients of what their bills will be. Worked with the vendor to ensure that all data files, testing, training and go-live was on schedule. Managed eight staff members consisting of three managers, two business analysts, one trainer, one QA analyst, and a director. This was a transition that took the hospital areas from paper to an electronic format.• Project Manager of Provider Data Implementation (Phynd) which covers eight departments (ACO – Affordable Care Organization, Epic Build Team, HIM – Health Information Management, Lab, Human Resources, Marketing, Medical Staff Services, Hometown Health Insurance) and four different systems.• Project Manager of Patient Email Standardization (Epic) where I worked with leaders of Patient Access, Report Writers, and Build Team in order to improve Press Ganey survey deliveries.• Project Manager of creating an organization wide Report Catalog consisting of four source systems (Web Focus, Business Objects, Hometown Health Data Warehouse and Reporting Workbench)• Planned, directed, and managed a new same day self-pay process for all of the labs associated with the hospital. This involved revenue cycle analyst, billing departments, self-pay call center, and lab staff. Ensured that the workflow, testing, and training met the customer’s needs.

• Successfully trained and assisted in implementing the Epic computer system for various hospital staff (including a Connect Site: Renown, Barton, & Carson Valley Medical Center) while serving as point person in resolving/enhancing workflow issues.• Responsible for conducting presentations to other hospitals in an attempt to demonstrate the wide range of flexibility that Epic has to offer from a Surgery, Ambulatory, & Hospital Admitting point of view.• Act as liaison between hospital departments and Information Resources (Training & Build Teams) in order to manage the use of everyday workflows, system issues, and reporting. • Organize & lead department based “enhancement” (process improvement & software implementation) opportunities by recognizing end-results, gathering key players, and creating timelines using basic project management tools and methods.• Provide customer service to various hospital departments including sub-licensing hospitals (Barton Memorial & Carson Valley Medical Center) while assisting in implementing an electronic medical record system.
