During my time as a Gameplay Developer intern at Landell Games, I honed my problem-solving skills while tackling key technical challenges in real-time strategy game development. I took the initiative to fix the Guildhall Quick Build feature, ensuring rapid construction was always available at the start of each game, even during reconnections, thereby enhancing the game's early progression mechanics.I also revamped the Minimap functionality, improving player control by enabling right-click unit movement with visual feedback and left-click panning to seamlessly move the camera. Additionally, I optimized Builder Unit behavior by implementing a collision-free system that allowed builders to construct more efficiently without interference, boosting in-game productivity.My contributions extended to refining Resource Collector AI, reorganizing state machines to ensure automated resource gathering and manual drop-off options, streamlining resource management. I also resolved issues with Rally Point functionality for buildings like the Guildhall and Barracks, enabling units to reliably reach designated locations, improving gameplay flow and strategic execution.This experience not only deepened my understanding of game mechanics but also solidified my technical expertise in creating more optimized and user-friendly gameplay systems.

This exploration led me to commence the migration of the Invitation API, laying a solid foundation for future refactoring efforts and setting a new benchmark for architectural excellence within the team.
