Briefly about me:1) I'm a strong self-motivator, I have arranged my own work experiences at several locations and took part in extracurricular activities.2) I have held several positions of responsibility and trust throughout my academic life, gaining a wide knowledge base.3) I have worked effectively in several groups and team projects, in both leader and member roles.In more detail,I'm a recent postgraduate looking to keep working withinthe parasitology field if possible. I hope to expand upon my studies investigating parasite disease across humans and animals. I have gained a varied skill set through my academic and professional career. This has involved arranging work experience at the Liberec Teaching Hospital and MoredunResearch Institute. I have also taken part in field work in Malawi working directly with small livestock.I have actively looked to excel at more than just academia. I havebeen a member of the editorial board of IMPACT, the Queens University postgraduate journal. In my role I have helped launch the journal and publish the first issue. I have also held other rolessuch as student representative to the animal health and welfare reviewbody and postgraduate mentor to students.
