About Tony Macaluso
As a senior level, Mechanical Calibration/Design/Test/Project Engineer with a focus on quality and high performing engine development and 10+ years’ experience there is ability to get the job done and done right. I have worked both reporting directly to a VP while managing projects and leading a large team, or sometimes being part of a team. While none of my job titles were “Quality”, project management involves this as does research and development and vetting suppliers and partner contracts for needed products. This post also has to support Manufacturing for said project/final product. Having been in charge of multi-million-dollar projects, Quality was a big focus with much time spent in root cause analysis when things did not work. The ability to test and analyze plus redesign and re-tool if need be was a great asset. Therefore, in Quality and Manufacturing, there is also 10+ years’ experience.A good portion of my experience is in training and staffing teams here and abroad. I have had total control of the install, design, and operation of Engine, Driveline, and Chassis dynamometers, data acquisition equipment such as MatLab, ATI Vision, INCA, LabView, Indicom, and field test operations for NASCAR, OEMS, and other manufacturing. I have high level skills in proposal development, authoring white papers, factory acceptance test procedures, data collection/reporting, and test set-up and product development. I read + edit blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. The travel and other duties have broadened my perspectives on engineering and effective client services.I am confident these abilities can make an immediate and lasting contribution to a company as I’ve successfully managed projects to design facilities and powertrains, improved performance, reduced costs, and brought the projects to close on time and under budget. I have a passion for excellence in all assignments I undertake. More than a job, I love the challenges engineering offers me.
