As an honors Fall 2024 Chemical Engineering graduate at the University of Dayton, I have been part of a research-driven laboratory where I focused on material processing and characterization of polymer matrix composites, ceramic matrix composites, and additive metals. My work has led to the characterization of eleven material systems, the development of four LEAN-oriented standards of work, eleven data analysis tools, and the project management of an upcoming research article. In recent years, I have explicitly focused on solving complex reaction conditions for ceramic matrix composite coatings. I hope to take this experience to my primary interest in chemical reactions. I seek to explore the food science industry, specifically focusing on food product development and ingredient design selection. Educationally, I have been exploring biochemistry and food production methods to aid in my understanding. Additionally, I have focused on providing unique solutions and education for underlooked populations. I participated in international work in India to develop a systems thinking and human rights design approach in research and development. In my free time, I volunteer to help design a curriculum to educate people on the science behind wrongful convictions surrounding evidence analysis for the Ohio Innocence Project.
