Anthony (Tony) Barone, MPS, MPH, PMP, NRP, EMT-T/B/P, DICO, EC, PPS, PI, SO/CMr. Barone has been protecting people, populations, and organizations for over 25 years. He has provided specialized, technical, and subject matter expertise across multiple domains and sectors with an emphasis on security, protection, and medicine. Mr. Barone has responded to countless public 9-1-1 and private incidents, events, emergencies, and disasters. He has deployed with specialty response teams (public and private) to natural disasters, deliberate attacks, disease outbreaks, and national special security events. In 2015 Mr. Barone founded Emergility, LLC (DBA EMERGILITY™), a consultancy focused on the health, safety, and security of public and private clients. In 2019, Mr. Barone envisioned and executed the expansion of EMERGILITY™ into a licensed Private Security Service Business, and by 2020 he added a private Emergency Medical Services Agency. With the aim of securing and protecting personal, private, and public clients and patients, Mr. Barone combined Protective Security Services (PSS) & Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to create PSS-EMS. There is no typical day with the SIMU, considering risks and threats are unpredictable and dealt with according to their priority level. Day one may consist of a risk analysis of the Port of Tampa, while day two consists of a rapid planning assessment due to the arrival of group or individual that warrants protective services. Thus, the ability to multi-task, as well as to prioritize those tasks, is imperative to the successful operation of the SIMU. During this Field Experience, placement will be within the heart of the various tasks under the direct supervision of SIMU personnel. -
