Anthony Abeyta-Lopez Email and Phone Number
I am a 3rd Year PhD candidate in the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I am currently a student in the lab of Drs. Robert and Janet Siliciano. My research focuses on studying the pharmacodynamic properties of next-generation antiretrovirals used for HIV-1 therapy.I graduated from the University of New Mexico with my Bachelor’s in Chemistry and Biology, minoring in communication with a focus on mediation. Before moving to Baltimore I was a Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) scholar studying computational drug repurposing under Dr. Tudor Oprea. I also have had the pleasure of conducting research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under Dr. Nancie Archin studying new targets for latency reversal of HIV-1.My current interests are in pharmacology, virology, and HIV-1 biology.
