About Anthony Bargar

Bargar, an experienced technology risk and cyber security expert has served as an executive for three firms through periods of significant growth and change. He served in senior positions within the United States Dept. of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). Bargar’s global, experience includes stock exchanges, banks, utilities, government ministries and other representatives of critical infrastructure sectors. In public-service, Bargar was the Cyber Policy & Strategy Advisor for the US DoD and served as Deputy CISO to the US DoD. Anthony was on the White House team to develop the US President’s National Cyber Initiative, which unified strategy across the government.. In the IC he managed the U.S. counterintelligence DoD IA insider threat program, overseeing counter-espionage cases to safeguard the privacy of U.S. classified information. At the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Anthony led a team of "white-hat" hackers to predict, detect, and prevent breaches in information security, enforcing security policy and preventing unauthorized access to sensitive information/data. In times of both war and peace, Bargar has deployed to the European and Middle East theaters to support mission-critical intelligence operations.Bargar co-led an international research project on information infrastructure protection and defense with the National Defense University (NDU) and the Swedish National Defense College. He holds a master's degree in information and telecommunication systems for business from Johns Hopkins University.
