As digital director at Flipside, I have two core responsibilities. Firstly I work alongside a wide ranging group of clients to provide them with strategic digital development and digital marketing planning and consultancy, I provide them with digital solutions to real business challenges and I liaise between them, and my team of colleagues at Flipside to provide our services – be that User experiences, User interfaces, Web and Mobile development to Search and Social Media marketing.For many customers I act as their outsourced Digital consultant, providing a high level view of how digital technologies can improve their businesses. Secondly, I lead our committed team of consultants, architects, designers, developers, writers, project managers, support staff and ensure that all share my passion that digital technologies should enable organisations to do bigger and better things, more efficiently and effectively.I work hard to build and develop our own business, to ensure our ongoing growth and success and to ensure that continue to deliver the sort of passionate customer service that has been part of my culture since day one.

As Managing Director at FlipsideData, (Part of the Flipside Group) I have two core responsibilities. Firstly I work alongside a wide ranging group of clients to provide them with strategic IT hosting solutions and advice, I provide them with technical solutions to real business challenges and I liaise between them, and my team of colleagues working hard to provide our services – be that our network specialists, our security specialists, our IT helpdesk team or our project management team.Secondly, I lead the committed team of directors and managers that all share my passion for ‘business class hosting’ and I work hard to build and develop our own business, to ensure our ongoing growth and success and to ensure that continue to deliver the sort of passionate customer service that has been part of our culture since day one.When our clients come to our data centre, they are here to stay. As founder and Managing Director of Flipside Digital, the digital agency part of the Flipside Group offering Bespoke Development, Websites, Intranets, eCommerce, and Digital Marketing. Since inception Flipside Digital maintained a strong track record in helping clients transform challenging ideas into fully functional web sites or applications. During my time as Head of Web Development at SDS which I founded alongside the Managing Director, I was responsible for the day to day operation of the department along with the production and the quality of the digital output.I led the team responsible for developing key credit card transaction systems, which we integrated into the website and terminals in each store. The system averaged earnings of over $1 million a day with double that at peak times during the year. The system was so successful it was deployed to other retailer both in the USA and UK.

As Head of Information Technology at the ISTD, I was responsible for the technical strategy and direction of the organisation.Inheriting a technical landscape of legacy technologies and applications It was my responsibility and vision to re-develop these, increase productivity and integration across departments to increase business efficiency.I led the team that rebuilt the entire digital landscape inside 12 months from the core infrastructure of cabling, a series of Microsoft Servers, external connectivity and the rebuild of the software platform to ensure year 2000 compliance and productivity goals.Further enhancements included advising and sitting on the technical committee that oversaw the technical integrations standards for integrating into the governments QCA framework as the ISTD was one of first organisation to achieve this.I also led the team responsible for creating the companies first corporate websites, which was search engine optimised and exposed our on-premise shop to our customers for the first time. Revenues in the first year equalled the shop and increased by 100% in year 2.
