CORE TASKS• Quantitative analysis of hedge fund portfolio construction techniques, with an emphasis on Equity and Multi asset class portfolios: Aggregation of underlying funds’ portfolio holdings, analyzing portfolio risk, trading, liquidity and potential factor tilts (i.e. value vs growth, high vs low beta, momentum etc.) Portfolio benchmarking: Applying both explicit (market indices) and implicit (abstract and orthogonal) factor analysis for both performance and exposure analysis; Manager interview: Based on above analysis challenge manager’s investing techniques and historical exposures• Present quantitative investment reports/analysis to the Investment committee and recommend investments, redemptions and allocation adjustments• Developed and run market monitoring reports extracting data from a variety of sources (including construction of synthetic indices)RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT• Actively contribute to the quantitative research team led by Dr Robert J Frey (former MD of Renaissance Technologies) • Researched and developed quantitative screening tools which have been applied to fund selection and portfolio construction• Developed portfolio trading tools utilizing Monte Carlo simulations for forecasting future asset class performance • New product research, development and practical application.MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage a team of Data AnalystsTECHNICAL SKILLS• Computer Programming - MATLAB, Mathematica and Excel VBA• IT Systems - MS Office (Excel expert), Bloomberg, Reuters, Bespoke Database
