I have spent the better part of my career as an entrepreneur, and have continually remained at the forefront of technology advances to always maintain a competitive edge, and have an open mind to explore rapidly emerging solutions to business and technical problems. I started out as a Computer Programmer for an insurance company, and turned my passion and talent for technology into a guiding force throughout my professional journey.As a Manager of Professional Services at Powersoft Corporation, I began to thrive as a technology expert but with added leadership responsibilities. I created an industry leading program (Certified Powerbuilder Developer) that became a model for numerous other companies. Along with product development, I created brand messaging, drove marketing, and spurred revenue growth driving revenues from $200K in 1993 to over $10M by 1998. Customer satisfaction was through the roof.My adventures as a business co-owner began, culminating in my independent business open since 2000. Along the way, there have been different ventures and bumps in the road, but technology has remained my strength as I have become an expert in installing and setting up back office systems as well as designing and launching websites. The more I have worked with websites, the more I have grown as an User Experience (UX) designer as well. Another constant has been my success with teams whether leading them or as a vital member. Business success starts with people, and a leader who overlooks that is bound for failure. I have always believed in creating a workplace environment that encourages staff engagement and professional development. A staff that grows with you, achieves with you. They are the true secret to success.Now, I find myself at a crossroads, ready to return to the corporate career path. I bring to the table leadership, technology skills, and a collaborative spirit that wants everyone to succeed. All I need now is the opportunity.
