Anthony Bock is a Site Coordinator at Balloons and Tunes. Colleagues describe him as "I've taught at the college level for about 20 years, and Anthony was one of the highest-achieving students I've ever had, from written papers to in-class exams. He also went out of his way to take advantage of extra-credit opportunities - not because he had any need to improve his grade, but because he wanted to take advantage of every opportunity to gain experience and knowledge about American government. It was clearly his passion then, and it still is. Anthony was also a leader in class discussion, a quality that came out best when we had local government officials and political advocates stop by as guest speakers. We always have an extensive lineup, from a wide variety of offices and organizations, and Anthony relished the opportunity to speak with and question and learn from every one. I also watched his classmates learn from him as well, both from the thoughtful questions he asked and the insights he had to offer. He wasn't only a high achiever for himself; he also elevated the other people in the room with him as well. I like to think he's able to draw a lot from what he learned in my class, but the truth is he's the sort of person who's going to succeed in his chosen field no matter what - and he's also the sort of person who can make everyone around him more successful too.
