Every decision regarding our technology infrastructure involves taking a cost-benefit approach regarding how we develop, manufacture and distribute our digital patient support programs, staying fully compliant with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.

Nevarian was founded in 2016 to offer deep software engineering and project management expertise to clients. The scope of services provided include consulting, web-based software application development and security solutions, data storage and database management solutions. Here are some success stories:Litigation Operations – Web Application Project We supplied a data warehouse solution and web-based application to help our client manage data for large class action litigations. Built from the ground up, we developed a process to electronically gather invoice details and load them into a business intelligence and analytics platform. The software has become the mission critical application which the entire company uses and relies upon for its daily workflows. Security Vulnerability Remediation Project As lead engineer, we neutralized 280 CWE security vulnerability flaws in an enterprise web application which was built using Drupal as the PHP Framework with flaws identified using Veracode. I coordinated the remediation efforts with the in-house development team and successfully neutralized the flaws within 60 days while the software was under active development. Web Application Project This project involved development of a LAMP stack web application for an automotive dealer. It was built from the ground up using wireframes provided by client. The product helps customers choose and purchase an extended warranty for their automobiles. It was presented directly to Ford as a proof of concept. I also developed an API to exchange warranty contract data with a third party.

PMI Rate Pro is an industry innovator and startup company invited to join Techstars, a leading accelerator, as the Kansas City Cohort of 2021. The company has a unique and clever solution for how Mortgage Loan Officers can compare private mortgage insurance quotes from six national PMI providers instantly and offer the cheapest options available to homebuyers.As CTO, I architected and built the suite of APIs that provides mortgage software solutions with a single integration to get pricing from all leading industry mortgage Insurers. I recruited, trained and managed a team of software developers and QA analysts and re-engineered the entire tech stack on AWS, utilizing Github code repository and CI/CD Dev-Ops. SOC 2 compliance was an important element as well, as our business stored our clients’ confidential data. SOC 2 compliance is important to tech companies in general, but even more important to those businesses that store PII, PHI, or any sensitive data that the business has in its care/custody/control.Business development was an integral function of my role. Working closely with the CEO, we prepared pitch decks and gave product demos to stakeholders, customers and investors for various seed rounds. I also attended industry conferences to pitch ideas and demo our solutions and products to lenders, mortgage insurers and other business partners.

Alliance Security is a leading provider of advanced home security and automation systems and services. As a member of the executive management team reporting directly to the CEO, I managed in-house IT support and software development teams for a LAMP stack software system which handled all sales operations, field service and installation, customer service, collections and reporting functions for 500+ internal employees and thousands of sub-dealers. I was recognized with the Shield of Honor award within five months of employment. Additional accomplishments include:• Delivered 76% annual cost savings of over $228K through selection and deployment of a VOIP telephone communication system spanning the entire corporate national footprint.• Envisioned, developed, and deployed innovative and effective process improvements to increase reliability of in-house CRM and Dispatch web-apps, as well as to improve performance of the physical network. • Decreased licensing, maintenance and support expenses by converting 100+ sales staff workstations to Linux, measurably reducing security threats and risk and increasing hardware lifecycle. • Led the implementation of company-wide, web-based knowledge base system and a company-wide, web-based IT Help Desk ticketing system.

This software company provided housing management software solutions for the housing industry. Reporting directly to the President, I held oversight of internal and customer support IT functions, which included leading the migration of a proprietary client/server software solution to the cloud, providing customers with a fully cloud-based solution.
