As a Network Engineer in an ISP environment, I play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our network infrastructure. My responsibilities include troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues to maintain uninterrupted service for our customers. I am tasked with configuring Cisco devices, including Nexus switches and ASR Routers, in alignment with specified requirements and industry standards, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.In addition to device configuration, I implement and manage various networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS L2VPN, VLANs, and DHCP. My expertise extends to deploying and maintaining PFSense Firewalls to bolster our network security measures, protecting against potential threats and vulnerabilities.Leading the deployment of IPv6 across our network infrastructure, I ensure seamless integration with existing systems while staying abreast of evolving technology standards.Beyond networking, I engage in system administration tasks, including the setup and management of physical servers, Proxmox servers, VMs, containers, and Docker environments. Additionally, I configure and maintain Elastic (ELK) for enhanced network visibility and monitoring, utilizing tools such as Zabbix, Observium, Syslogs, and Grafana for proactive network health monitoring and analysis.
