The main applications consisted of migrating and denormalizing data from relational databases and storing it on multiple distributed system and different Hadoop file formats using Spark as the processing engine. The data will be used by other teams for data science and machine learning. Multiple technologies were used such as Scala, Java, Spring, Hbase, Hadoop, the ELK(Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) stack, and many others.Set up a Kubernetes cluster that was used to submit spark jobs and run services that automated multiple tasks to acquire and clean data before processing. I also developed services that can be used to manage some tasks more conveniently such as submitting spark jobs and caching daily data for quick queries using Gemfire.
