About Anthony Carroll

Visit www.yellowsneakers.com.auI am a lot of things. I’ve been fortunate to have worked in various roles throughout my working life. From advertising production to being an agency account manager to being a Brand & Marketing Manager. Then switching gears a little to be a trainer, facilitator and Experience Manager. But all the while being customer centric in all that I do. I’ve worked with amazing people who have supported me and taught me lots. Especially about myself. I want to do & change a lot of things. But I’m focussed on three, right now. Firstly, I want to change how people think. In a good way. In a very Human centered way. Using collaborative design thinking tools.Secondly, I want to learn how small start up companies got bigger. With some even changing the world! You most likely know who they are. But do we know how they did it? Let’s find out. Next, I want to change the way people experience tea. It’s a passion project. I love tea and being the number one beverage consumed around the world, I think we can make this experience better. Join me for tea soon. But lastly, I want to work with you. I want to know what business challenges you are facing and help you solve them. What opportunities can we find? How do we get things being better? Better than now. Better than ever. You with me?If you share any of the same ideas as me, then let’s connect. Reach out to say hello and let’s see what we can change together. Training Facilitator - Design Thinking & Innovation

160 Missenden Road, Newtown Nsw 2042

Proposed, designed and facilitated a Design thinking course at the University of Sydney, Centre of Continuing Education. As the lead trainer, I taught participants the various Design thinking/Human centred design principles and methodologies using an immersive approach.Participants would tackle a design challenge using a selected Design thinking methodology and generate solutions for the design challenge. From better recycling habits to solving Sydney's horrendous parking sign challenges. The course was designed to simulate real-world problem- solving scenarios to ensure the learning remained ‘sticky’ long after the course.WHO IS THIS FOR?The course is suitable for everyone. You don't need to be trained as a designer or architect to use Design thinking. This course is ideal for start-ups, entrepreneurs, professionals, small business owners, team leaders, managers and employees in NFP, Govt or Corporates. I'm not picky. NEXT WORKSHOP COURSE:Interested in finding out more about using a Design thinking/Human-centred approach to solving problems? Check out the link below. Business Specialist

Sydney, Australia

Worked in the Apple Store Sydney. One of the most beautiful stores in the country. As a Business Specialist, I introduced Apple solutions, technology and services to business customers. I spent time on the sales floor, meeting first-time and current business customers and learning about their needs.Generated new leads and built relationships through in-store workshops and events. Worked with the Business team to prepare and present proposals back to customers based on their needs.Largest business event: To tie with the Govts Small Business month, I proposed, created and moderated a Business event in the Sydney Apple store that drew over 100 attendees. I interviewed three Business owners on stage about how they started their businesses from the ground up.Product launches in the Apple store is an experience like no other. Close to 5000 people over the course of the day line up to come into the store. The buzz and energy during a launch day is like being at your favourite music festival.I experienced seven (7) product launches over 3 years – 4x iPhone and 3x iPad launches including the launch of the first iPad. (And yes, I bought one on the day.)

Marketing Manager, Brand

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Working in the corporate head office that oversaw the management & retention of 700 franchise offices in Australia & New Zealand. My role involved being the brand custodian and to ensure each franchise office adhered to the brand guidelines. I worked closely with each franchise office to advise them on any proposed usage of the brand that wasn’t covered in the guidelines.I worked closely with the Brand strategist to formulate and implement annual brand tracking studies. LJ Hooker remained the No 1 real estate company for brand awareness, and in the top three for brands to be engaged by a landlord/vendor to sell a property.Local Area Marketing (LAM): I worked closely with the local area marketing managers to implement brand campaigns that mirrored the national brand marketing campaigns and initiatives but tailored for a local area.QANTAS Frequent Flyer partnership: Managed the QFF partnership and ran a national marketing campaign to give away 1 million QFF points. The campaign yielded a 30% increase in LJ Hooker property appraisals based on the previous year sans campaign.Brand refresh: In my first year, I undertook a brand audit and recommended a refresh of the brand to my Marketing Director, to ensure the LJ Hooker brand still remained relevant in the marketplace. LJ Hooker’s Little Girl branding (Thank you, Mr Hooker!) was highly renown and invoked an emotional connection to the brand.Following approval from the Executive team, I led a $10 million brand refresh of LJ Hooker (careful not to call it a rebrand to prevent angst or confusion amongst the franchisees) which was to reflect the one stop shop business strategy. Working with an external design agency, Cato, on design concepts. Together we presented these to the Franchise Owners Council for final sign off. Then led the roll out of the new brand livery and office signage to our 700 franchises in Australia and New Zealand. The roll out project was delivered on time and under budget (yes, under).

And it’s the same with Captains.Unilever - Rexona: Managed the new pack designs for Rexona deodorant products to commemorate Rexona’s sponsoring of the 2006 Melbourne Games. Initial brief called for one pack design for the Australian and NZ markets. However, we successfully pitched two different designs for each market to represent the patriotism of both countries. Working with the designer to present design concepts to the client and coordinating focus groups for customer feedback.Annual Reports – NRMA & TAB Corp: Working closely with my Client Service Director, I managed the development of both NRMA and TAB Corps annual reports.
