As a child, I loved puzzles, mazes, word problems, etc. The idea that you can understand the ultimate goal and then, through a series of tactical maneuvers reach that goal, has always been satisfying to me.In my early career as a programmer, I took that problem solving to the next level; working with clients to solve business problems in the most efficient and effective manner. I found myself (and still do) putting myself into the client’s position. Analyzing and understanding the client’s needs, I find myself taking it one step further, what else could they want/need. I truly believe that is my calling.My analytical drive and curiosity have brought me to a variety of industries and functions. Throughout my career, I have always been seen as the person in the organization who “gets it”. Early in my career, I designed a metallurgy modeling system for a foundry, designed a Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for a pharmaceutical company, designed and managed the implementation of local area networks across multiple facilities, designed and implemented financial applications for some of the nation’s largest companies, and crafted disaster recovery solutions for small real estate tax consultants. As an entrepreneur, I have designed and created solutions leveraging technologies that have been described as “visionary”. All of these experiences share one common thread, they were all puzzles that needed to be solved. So, I did!Having trained and performed at Chicago’s Second City, I have sharpened both my listening skills and my ability to “guide” a conversation to gain the desired results. On stage, that’s getting a laugh. In business that’s getting the requirements necessary to provide solutions to clients. Interestingly, the skills are the same!I am currently seeking a permanent position with an organization who has a culture of success and is seeking someone who settles for nothing less.
