• Working together fluidly as part of a team within a busy kitchen environment at a pub on the “party street” of Brighton. Though the workload may be high and may seem to be never-ending, I have learnt to be patient and level headed, often calming other team members down and helping at other stations whenever an opportunity presents itself.• Prioritising and finding the most efficient method of producing the plates to leave the kitchen. • Interpersonal communication with my team allows for both an effective work force and a good relationship with co-workers. I have learnt that a team can be much more productive when they get along well and socialise outside of work hours.

This is my job when I am back home, away from University.

• As expected with the nature of cold calling, I received a lot of refusals, some ruder than others. However, I learnt not to take these personally. • The first few seconds when cold calling makes a huge difference as to the type of response from someone, and so I developed a polite and positive attitude. A further challenge that arises is to maintain someone’s attention and interest, especially on long surveys. This is an ability that took many calls to develop, but was helpful to both this job and presentations that I gave as part of my university course.
