I’m Anthony Cockerill.My journey began in education as an English teacher, and I continue to serve as Head of Department in a secondary school in North Yorkshire. Several years ago, I began to blog regularly, focusing on topics related to education, writing, and the power of language. My aim was simple: to share valuable resources and exchange ideas with fellow educators. I strongly believe in the transformative potential of a well-designed curriculum, one that not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures essential skills and instills a profound appreciation for language and literature in students.Throughout my career, I’ve been privileged to engage with diverse audiences and to contribute to various professional platforms. Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to share insights through feature articles I’ve written for educational publications such as NATE’s Teaching English and Teach Secondary.Beyond the classroom, I’ve offered guidance to individuals seeking to enhance their writing skills across different formats, from essays and fiction to content and copywriting. As my expertise has gained recognition, I’ve assisted friends and colleagues to showcase their work and grow their businesses through effective written communication. I established the Tastes Like Fresh Copy project to help people provide quality written content for their audiences while pursuing my passion for writing and education.
