I’m constantly amazed by how humans find unexpected ways to use products. For me, the excitement of creating something boils down to two contrasting moments:1. When your data and the joy of your users confirm that you’ve solved a problem exactly as intended.2. When you discover you’re addressing an entirely different problem you never anticipated, bringing along a shift in perspective that changes how you see the world.As Casebook's product leader, every day is an opportunity to uncover the true needs within the health and human services space. The complexity of the challenges we address and the meaningful impact we create are constant sources of inspiration—energy I strive to channel into the teams I lead and the products we develop.Prior to Casebook, I spent a little less than a decade focused on product development in medical billing, payments processing and wider revenue cycle workflows for organizations ranging from small agencies/practices to large, complex health and service delivery systems. Before that, I spent a number of years designing and implementing enterprise software aiming to connect how knowledge workers plan, execute and manage projects.Aside from technical and product skills learned while working in tech, I've established a number of competencies over the years:- Health & Human Services: case management, analytics and workflow, revenue cycle, finance, patient access, HIM/coding, charge management, billing, collections, denials, credit balance management, etc.- Diabetes patient care management and coaching (including biomedical device integration and mHealth technologies)- Enterprise project management tools- Resource capacity planning- Workflow management solutions- Large-scale systems integrationsOutside of the office, I do my best to stay involved in aviation, learn to describe wine in more ways than "it tastes amazing" and generally maintain about 15 stack-ranked lists of various hobbies, books, courses and other things that I find interesting.
