Wrote Federal Registry notices announcing Medical Review Board meetings, applications for vision exemptions for commercial motor vehicle drivers, final disposition notices for the applications, and exemption renewals. Maintained spreadsheets of applicants and track notices through the approval process. Wrote response letters to inquiries from drivers and doctors, Congressmen, and employers who write on their behalf. Edited documents such as medical evidence reports, Medical Review Board meeting summaries, FMCSA web site materials, and any other written work that arises. Largest single editing work is for a multi-chapter paper on commercial vehicle safety laws for publication by SAE. Also created reference lists for paper. Occasionally wrote short reports on medical issues affecting commercial drivers. Occasionally packaged letters to be mailed out. Much of the work requires cooperation with other members of the Physical Qualification division.
