Main Infrastructure Architect for a small/mid sized environment of mainly Cisco UCS servers running on VMware and Pure Storage SANs. We have about 60 UCS servers running 2000 VMs in VMware and another 20 Nutanix Hyperconverged servers running a mix of VMware and Acropolis Hypervisor. We have 3 Pure Storage FlashArrays, 4 Hitachi AMS and HUSVM SANs. In addition, we have 2 Cohesity storage clusters, a Pure Storage FlashBlade, and a NetApp NAS. I am responsible for researching, implementing, and supporting all this hardware up through the virtualization layer. In addition, I support Oracle and Postgres database servers running on RedHat and CentOS. I am also in charge of backing up the environment using a combination of Commvault and Cohesity servers. I install and configure the VMware management servers including vCenter and vRealize Operations Manager.

I was hired by DAZ3D to analyze and document a Windows based system that they had inherited from a company they purchased. I spent months working with the Israeli team who had developed it learning about the system and documenting. It consisted of 40 Windows 2003 HP and BOXX servers running Apache, Tomcat, Oracle, and a Java web environment. In addition I added a VMware 5 environment for development and testing. These servers were used for generating 3d heads/faces from 2d images. I was totally in charge of this environment and spent most of my time there organizing and simplifying the file and configuration structure to make it easier to support with a small team. When I started, the average head creation success was running at about 63%. When I finished my reconfig, the average success rate was at about 85%.

Director of a small Network Operations team, responsible for Windows servers, Microsoft SQL 2005 and 2008 servers, VMware, and networking. I manage a team of Network and Systems engineers in supporting an enterprise of 50 workstations and 60 servers. This includes maintaining Windows 2003 through Windows 2008 servers and VMware ESX 3 and Vspere 4 virtual environments. Primary responsibilities also include managing multiple HP EVA SAN's (8000 and 4100) as well as the management of the fibre networking (physical and logical fabric) utilizing Brocade switches. Networking support also consists of Cisco firewalls, load balancers, and switches. In addition to the HP SAN infrastructure, I manage multiple HP C7000 Blade enclosures with a total of 30 servers between them. I am also in charge of managing mutliple SQL 2005 and 2008 servers in a web enabled environment. I am just finishing up a successful conversion from an in-house Exchange 2003 server to Microsoft BPOS.

Managing storage environment consisting of Qlogic fibre switches, Storagetek B280 SAN, Storagetek D240 SAN, DataCore Virtual Storage systems, HP Storageworks MSA1000 SANs, Promise SCSI attached disk, and local drives totaling over 80 Terabytes of space. Managing 3com NBX VOIP phone system. Use of Track-IT software for problem management. Involved in creating a forensic data recovery process using various software (R-Studio, Encase software, FastBlock hardware). Retrieval and recovery of data both in house and on site. Use and management of TrackIT for helpdesk and software deployment.

Main network and workstation support for multimedia software company. In charge of 2 Windows 2000 Servers and also Exchange 2000 server. Responsible for maintaining and upgrading 20 desktops running Windows 98, ME, and Windows 2000. Support of multimedia and art applications. Also responsible for supporting a 3Com IP telephone system. Additional responsibilities include audio work (recording, editing, voice over, etc.) and video editing. I created and edited demos and trailers of our work.
