Assistant Prepared Foods Manager
Current• Lead and motivate team members by upholding and demonstrating company values like honesty, trustworthiness, and mutual respect in daily interactions.• Assist the Manager with the hiring, training, and performance appraisals of staff to ensure they meet company standards and expectations.• Ensure all team members comply with health and safety guidelines, food safety regulations, loss prevention practices, and human resource policies, including dress code adherence.• Provide coaching and ongoing training to the team to improve technical skills, product knowledge, and overall productivity.• Facilitate team communication through daily huddles to keep employees informed about company initiatives, goals, and expectations.• Prepare reports and documentation, including team performance evaluations, health and food safety records, and HR/payroll documentation.• Oversee department cleanliness and ensure all sanitation and food safety protocols are consistently followed.• Support the Manager in implementing department strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s objectives.• Assist in achieving financial goals by helping with inventory management, scheduling, and the execution of merchandising strategies.• Monitor local competitors and help the department adjust to changes in market conditions.• Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring team members greet customers, address questions promptly, and maintain a clean, safe environment.• Implement and train team members on standard operating procedures, health and safety guidelines, and food safety practices, including WHMIS and loss prevention protocols.• Ensure marketing, merchandising, human resource, and operational initiatives are effectively implemented across the department.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, warehouse, and supply chain, to meet broader company objectives.• Stay updated on industry trends and take part in special projects as assigned by management.
