I am one of two people appointed for an Under 35 Participant position on the national board of The Salvation Army Australia for a 12 month term. This board provides oversight and governance for the whole of The Salvation Army in Australia.The Board is responsible for:* Providing governance oversight to the Territory in accordance with Australian law, governance principles and all requirements under International Headquarters Orders and Regulations* Strategically positioning the Territory so that it has a sustainable, major influence on Australian society* Providing advice and assistance to the TrusteesAs a participating observer, I attend all Board meetings with full access to the information being considered at each meeting and any additional communications provided to the Board. This position does not carry a Board vote. However, full participation in all Board discussions is encouraged.On 1 December 2021, the Board approved the appointment of Anthony Eden and Claire Clifton to the Under-35 Board Participant Program for a 12 month term.

Over my time at Hope Media, I played a leading role in technical innovation and implementing IT best-practices. I pride myself in my ability to design technology systems of any size, then see the project through from initial architecture, then onto development, testing, training and roll-out.Some of my significant projects have included an automation system migration rollout, new website development, developing software to facilitate content syndication with regional radio stations, countless systems integration projects, and development of a new best-practice donation page.I did all this while also maintaining and supporting the day-to-day technical operations of the organisation. This role involves assisting with maintenance of broadcast equipment, as well as some systems integration and software development. This includes Axia Audio over IP technologies, Microsoft Windows servers and desktop clients, and Microsoft .NET. This volunteer position transitioned into a full-time role.

Position involved developing and maintaining broadcast studios, transmission and IT infrastructure, as well as website development.Achievements include designing and implementing a new computer network using Microsoft Server technologies, design and implementation of internet-based content distribution platforms, and integration of audio playout and scheduling systems.
