Having experience of around 4.5 years in the field of Shipping and Logistics especially in the Containers unit, now entered into a new journey in the Shipping Agency in Dry and Tankers,Below are the points which gained me knowledge and making me a competent profession in the last few years in the section of Customs Clearance, Forwarding and the Liners:1. Customs Clearance and Forwarding Expertise: In customs clearance and forwarding companies, I acquired comprehensive skills in handling various documentation processes. This included generating invoices and packing lists, as well as filling shipping bills. Additionally, I became adept at navigating terminal websites to create gate in receipts (EIR/Form 13). This experience honed my attention to detail and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements.2. Customer Service: Building strong relationships with customers was a key aspect of my role. By understanding their unique requirements, I could provide tailored solutions and exceptional service. Notably, I handled shipments for prominent clients such as Best & Less and Myer in Australia. This experience sharpened my communication skills and ability to adapt to diverse client needs.3. Container Management Proficiency: My tenure involved handling both Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments. This required expertise in efficiently stuffing and arranging cargoes within containers, adhering to client-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs). Mastery of container management ensured optimal space utilization and minimized the risk of damage during transit.4. Transition to Liner Operations: Transitioning from forwarding to liner operations, I assumed the role of Documentation & Customer Service Executive. In this capacity, I facilitated the booking process for customers, ensuring seamless coordination from container release to vessel loading. Monitoring shipment status and liaising with stakeholders until containers were loaded onto vessels was a critical responsibility. Additionally, I managed the issuance of Bills of Lading (BLs) and delivery orders for import consignees, providing ongoing support until containers were safely returned.
