About Anthony Elgan

I have been working in the Learning & Development world since 2000 and have developed training experience including analysis of training needs, course design & development, training evaluation and also hundreds of hours in front of classes presenting a variety of instructional materials. I have been an enthusiastic participant in American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) local and national events and have actively worked to constantly improve my knowledge and skills as a trainer. I have been very fortunate to have been mentored by some very outstanding trainers and instructional designers, and I work hard to pass that along to the next generation of L&D professionals. My passion for training and development is what has motivated me to become a successful trainer. While there is no official certification for this yet, I am currently immersed in AI prompt engineering . I am spending the majority of my free time learning about emerging AI technologies and how to use them in a variety of situations. I'm currently using AI for everything from presentation development to creating fully illustrated children's books. Specialties: Customer service training, instructional design, graphic design, tech support, corporate office operations, automotive detailing process and products, AI prompt engineering for the best outputs

  • Lone Star Learning Academy
    Founder & Lead Trainer
Lone Star Learning Academy Jun 2024 - Present
    Dallas, Texas, United States
Lone Star Learning Academy is a resource for small businesses without a training arm that need customized employee development and other soft skills taught. In my career as a corporate trainer I have found immense value in having teams speak the same language, and I have seen the chaos that happens in organizations with a remote workforce who are never given any kind of training. Company culture is more than just the product they deliver. It has to do with the mindset of the employees as well. Lone Star Learning Academy is a way for these organizations to access professional customized training that speaks to the needs of their employees specifically and not just some generic on-demand program that just scrapes the surface. This is a new venture that I am really looking forward to applying my years of instructional design and leadership development skills to.

  • Ocdetails
    Owner/Operator
    Ocdetails Aug 1997 - Present
OCDetails has been a passion since 1997. What began as a small detailing operation for friends and family has turned into something much larger. Over the past 20+ years I have evolved from detailing grocery getters and soccer mom wagons to now focusing more on high end collections and aviation. Honestly, when you get right down to it, paint is paint. It doesn't matter to me if I'm detailing a Civic or a Ferrari. My goal is to perfect the paint as well as it can be perfected. I don't do body work or dent removal, but I will make that car shine like nobody's business. I am 100% mobile, so I can either come to you or you can come to me and I'll detail it in my garage. It is easier for me to do it in my garage because there isn't a chance that I'll need something that I didn't bring with me. Over the years I have tried hundreds of different compounds, waxes, and sealants and I have access to quite the selection of products. Detailing is an art and I love talking about it with people. Whether you just want to learn or if you want me to do it for you, I'm happy to talk your ear off for as long as you'll listen. My business name is OCDetails because I believe that obesessive compulsive detailing isn't a disease. It is a way of life. :)

Created and led the Research & Development department. Personally wrote over 5000 unique dispute letters to credit bureaus that are still in circulation and use five years later. Assisted in the automation of two departments that saved the company thousands of dollars per week. Assisted in the redesign and implementation of dispute processes and systems. Developed and delivered a more effective way of getting results from Bureaus that was proven to reduce client membership time by 60% when implemented. Of course, getting faster results for clients doesn't make sense for Lexington Law Firm, so they put that solution on the shelf and disbanded my department and began using my roll as a way to fire employees when they couldn't meet expectations. They still roll out pieces of my solution whenever they get sued or find the need to produce greater results.
