From 1994 to 2001, I worked for Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI and was Medical Director of Hurley Mental Health Associates as well as serving as chairman of the Department of Psychiatry (2000-2001).From 2001 to 2011, I worked for Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, MI and was Medical Director of their inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit and served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry in my last two years there. From November 2011 to November 2013, I worked for TTI, Inc. as a staff Psychiatrist overseeing case management and ACT services for the chronically mentally ill at their locations in Saginaw and Flint, Michigan.In December of 2013, I was offered a teaching position with Central Michigan University in Saginaw, Michigan as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, and was Director of Psychiatric Consultation Liaison Services. From January of 2015 to August 2017, I worked for the community mental health center in Flint, MI (Genesee Health System) treating the seriously and persistently mentally ill and developmentally disabled. I continued working with the same patient population for Training and Treatment Innovations, Inc. in Flint, MI in 2017-2018.I accepted the position as Chief Medical Officer for Genesee Health System and started there 10/1/18. This role includes administrative duties, oversight of all medical services delivered, and supervision and collaboration with a large group of nurse practitioners.In August of 2022, I retired as CMO and continue to work part time remotely via telemedicine. I am also a contract (Locum) psychiatrist and work some holiday weekends and help facilities with vacation coverage in Michigan.
